At the core of the AirPura C400DLX is a compact yet high-capacity 2-inch deep activated carbon canister containing 12 lbs. of specialty enahnced Super blend adsorbent. This deep carbon bed along with large amount of adsorbent ensures extended contact time with polluted air for superior rate of strong VOC and toxic chemical removal from indoor air.
Important Notice!
The specialty enhanced VOC adsorbent blend contains Potassium Iodide additive known for releasing its own slight distictive odor. While it's not noticeable and doesn't affect the absolute majority of air purifier users, some individuals with elevated or multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) may experience a feeling of discomfort or irritation. Such individual are advised to use the following models instead:
- AirPura C400 with the same amount of regular Coconut Shell adsorbent,
- AirPura G400DLX with the same amount of Certified German Odorless Carbon.

HEPA-Barrier Post Filter
Due to a limited remaining space in the AirPura C400DLX filter compartment, a single-layer HEPA-barrier post filter filter is used instead of a full-size HEPA filter for adequate capturing of fine dust, allergens, and other particulates remaining after gas filtration.

Pre-Filter Options
The standard polyester pre-filter is used to trap large dust, dirt and debris, extending the life of internal filters.
The concerned users can opt for optional unbleached, pesticide-free cotton pre-filter.

Non-Off-Gassing Felt Gaskets
